There is a color listed as ECRUT with the DMC thread also titled ECRUT. . .but I have no skein with that name or a floss with a number that does not match the other listed threads. It is not listed on the order when you select all threads.

Well, Ecru is an off white, I think. I have used it in several projects. You can probably check with the manufacturer for the color especially if it was listed and missing from the kit.

Hello,

Yes, ECRUT is the same as ECRU in the DMC Floss line. Some designers use that ECRUT spelling in their charts :)

teinsphar, I have the 8 1/2 x 11" color card produced by DMC. Even on their own card they list White-Blanc & Ecru without a color number next to the sample of those colors. It has always been like this.. If you look locally at a shop that sells DMC threads both white and Ecru are on the very top shelf of threads....you will see that they have the words printed on the DMC band....not a color number. Hope this helps you!! (I am a Stitcher in the chat room.)

P.S. If you click on "Floss & Thread" in the search box to our left....then click on DMC threads...scroll to the bottom of the page....then click on page 5 (end of the list)...scroll down....you will see Ecru listed at the very end if you want to order it from ECS!
