Thread Inventory Checklist
I am looking for a way to keep my DMC thread inventory on my computer, in a checklist format. I have a very old printed list (now with many erasure marks), but would like something a little neater, such as an Excel spreadsheet. Does anyone know of somewhere I could find this? I have checked DMC's website and I don't find anything helpful. Thank you!

Couldn't you just create the spreadsheet you would like to have? Do you just want a column for number/color name and another column for skein quantity, then maybe another for just partial skeins? You could copy and paste from a list of the number/colors for one column and if the number is first the column can be sorted numerically (if it isn't that way already). Double clicking on the column head will widen to the longest number/name combination. Then the next column(s) could be your quantities.
Hope this helps.

Can you copy and paste the colors from a "friendly" website? If it were me, I would want a way to organize by colors, by saturation, etc. You could do it without the colors but, wow, if you could.... :)

BTW, DMC has their color card on sale for $16.99... :)

I made my own DMC list using Excel after I started "inheriting" large amounts of floss (garage sales, thrift stores, friends, etc.) Just listed the DMC numbers in the first column; full skeins in second column; and partials in third column. Even though I have over a thousand full skeins there are still about 25 colors that I do not have!

VCESS -- I have a DMC floss list by color families. It is in PDF form on my computer and I can't figure out where it came from so that I can send a link.

Thanks, Nancye! That's a great "grouping" list!

Wow-factor would be to have color samples added...like the floss samples usually shown when selecting floss on the "sale pages". I think being able to group samples for selection would be WOW, especially for us ""fantasizers" with less imagination. :)

This site (http://www.lkreinmiller.com/thread-inventories.html) has a number of thread lists already in excel format. May not be everything you want but at least gives you a starting point of thread numbers and descriptions. They have a number of companies including DMC, Anchor, Rainbow Gallery, Kreinik and others.

FYI -
The DMC thread chart that is on sale on the DMC website states that the 35 ‘new’ DMC floss colors are not included
In the sale thread chart. Wonder if that is why it is ‘on sale’.
