Stunning is an understatement. Nice work. Is it a gift, or do you get to keep it?

Really stunning! It makes all of that scene appear magical at night! You dind a good amount of stitching, but it sure paid off!

Hi Marshalr! I stitched this piece for my husband and me. For the last 10 years, we have taken a group of high school students to Washington, D.C. in April to compete in the national "We the People" finals. We saw this sight - or something very similar - every year. So, I had to stitch it for our home as a memory of our experiences. The best part was watching young people, many who had never even been on an airplane before, revel in the beauty of our capital city and walk in the footsteps of the Founders, whom they had intensely studied.

Hi miss crossstitc! This piece is solid cross stitch, nothing more. Although it takes a long time, the mechanics are simple. Just rows and rows of cross-stitch in various colors. ECS has tons of great cross stitch charts and kits. You might start with a small stamped cross-stitch kit, just to get the hang of things. Once you have cross stitch down, the whole cross-stitch world is your oyster, including solid pieces like this one. Good luck! I am sure everyone who likes to chat on ECS would love to hear about your progress!
