One of my best tools is a DMC color card. That way you can find the tan, know the number, then order it or find at a LNS!

The DMC color chart is your best way to go. Get the newest one . It will have the actual threads that you can look at and say yes, that's the color I need. I bought a DMC chart that is just the colors and I need the actual threads in front of me. Only you are going to know the exact color that matches Nelson. I look at the DMC thread chart as a must have.

Hey, long time stitcher just learned something too.

Just an update...found the perfect shade of tan for the face and body. I already had the darker one I needed for the ears. I just had to match the floss to the dog!
