Stamped vs. Counted Cross Stitch
I prefer to use counted cross stitch. Does this kit come with a chart that I could use for counted cross stitch if I buy my own Aida cloth to use? Thanks!

You might.
Years ago, i purchased a stamped piece, the chart that came with it was usable as a counted cross pattern, so i chucked the stamped fabric and stitched it on Aida.
If you contact ECS, someone may be able to help you.

Interesting! Never heard of anything like that. Wonder how the "suggested" colors might have been affected.

Hello,

The contents of the kit in the description doesn't state it comes with an actual chart, only the instructions. So my guess it that it just comes stamped on the fabric and then the instructions have the color key and stitching instructions printed on them.

Agree with Marym. I too have purchased a stamped that had a reg. pattern and made counted. It depends on the manufacturer, I would guess. Google them and ask someone.

Right now in my stash I know I have one of those prequilted, stamped baby quilts. When I get home from work, I will look at the instructions and see how they are presented, then let you know if it would be possible to use as a counted pattern. I don't think I have anything else that may be stamped, but I will take a look.

Ok...the instructions with this quilt look just like a counted cross pattern without the grid. So I would think they are all similar and if you wanted to do this as a counted cross desperately enough you could make it work.
