Aida vs evenweave
I have always used even weave linen. I have a very special project that calls for 18 count. I usually use 28 count over two threads. Does Aida look as nice finished as linen? I don’t want holes to show. Any thoughts?

Using 2 strands of floss on 18 ct will fill in the holes completely. Is it an all over pattern? If the fabric will be completely stitched, I use aida. If the fabric is showing in places I think linen looks nicer.
