Now, there's an original question! All the patterns on the ECS website are new. 😄

MISS C!
Please do not assign bad names to people, even if you know the person. If you call a person "ignorant", you need to check a dictionary. You will find many exrremely negative meanings. I hope that you meant no harm, but use of the word to describe another person is mean. The person asking may want to find out about cross stitching. Otherwise, he might be brilliant.
My dear father had a Ph.D. in chemistry, but sought me out about medical issues because that was a subject that I had a good foundation of knowledge.
The person asking may want the information because Prairie Schooler went out of business. The old "used" patterns then became more valuable and were originally printed on a type of cardboard. They sold most of their patterns to another company, which prints them on copier paper. I try here to help folks who ask questions. This way, they may learn not only what they wanted to know, but a bit more "fleshed out" information.

I can't believe it. That was one of the rudest answers posted in a long time. Jerry, if you are still there -- most of the time this is a very friendly site. FYI -- this is a chat so you are not being answered by Everything Cross Stitch employees who are always friendly and helpful.

MISS C!!! Your comment was offensive to the point that I must ask if you received training from Roseanne Barr?? SHAME ON YOU! I cannot believe you meant to be so hurtful...or that you would leave it like that!

Why so quick to jump on someone who doesn't have English as a first language? Technically she was correct- ignorant as in uninformed. Big deal.

Must side with Miss Kitty on this. The word was used properly. Perhaps not the best choice of words. Even those of us who claim English as a first language misspeak it occasionally. I am hoping that it was not used in the perjorative sense but only Miss C knows that and I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Lord only knows if I was multi lingual I would hope to be half as clear. And writing in another language is an even bigger challenge than speaking it. Let’s just relax.

Sorry to disagree Miss Kitty. Miss C has been posting on this chat for years. She claims to be fluent in three languages, including English. Recently she made a post on this site that she tried to apply to the CIA as a translator. I'd bet my entire floss stash (over 1000 skeins) she knows the meaning of the word ignorant. Besides Kristi had already answered that question so there was no need for further comment.

If you sub ignorant with unaware, the offensive sting is gone......right?
