14 ct aida cloth
is this cloth soft ? Will it be soft when it is laundered? Does it have a modge podge coating that keeps it stiff??

I need a soft 14 count aida cloth in yardage. Do you have that available?

I use 14 CT Aida all the time. As you use it, it softens up.

Hi, my name is Pam and you have landed in the ECS chat room for stitchers. Aida is a little bit stiffer than other fabrics. I don't think they use Modge Podge coating. Because of that stiffness, I remember, a stitcher saying because of that they just stitch it without anything holding it. I seem to remember at least one of the stitchers washes the fabric before use by using something like Dawn and then the stitcher puts it in the dryer with a dryer sheet for a very short time taking it out before it is dry. She then irons it on a towel til dry. I have never done that. I only handwash after I am done. Other stitchers have other ideas and that is great. We are about creativity and trying something "different". We often say "There are no cross stitch police." Do what you are comfortable with. It is how we learn.. Welcome to the ECS chat room. You can get some great tips and advice from our women and men stitchers. I hope you come back. Peace. Pam
