Are they brain dead or what...
I don’t live to far away from 2 major shopping outlets. This spring one of them just opened a newly built section. On Friday a large sinkhole formed in the parking lot swallowing 6 cats. There was someone in one of them but she was helped out and is okay. Saturday the hole kept expanding. Last night we had torrential rains again and am sure that will add to the issue. What really gets my goat is the owners have not closed any of the stores near the sinkhole. Nothing like putting your customers safety first. Get it, it is “back to school” next to Christmas probably their busiest time. What happens if a gas line ruptures through this or one of the stores collapses? Already smell lawsuits why are they not avoiding further issues. Can’t imagine the current cost of repairs.

Wow, 6 cars. That's pretty big. Not something to take lightly. Back in the 60's our town had an explosion from mix of leaking gas line (the cause) and a sporting goods store with too much black powder in storage. Killed 45 people while taking out much of the downtown.

That made the news here, I can’t believe they haven’t closed off that area!

I think they call it profits before safety and to hell with anything else. We have the same problem here at the super market where I work . The roof badly needs replacing but the landlord lives overseas and doesn't give a hoot about the problem. What would he do if the roof actually collapsed I hesitate to think - but probably not a lot.

OK I know this isn't a funny post and I am not making fun of you 113kevans, because it is probably spell check that put it in as my tablet does it to me all the time, but I read your post and I was confused until I read lhogan's under it. I was feeling bad and was thinking about why it made national news when it swallowed 6 cats. I then read lhogan's reply and I thought ok that makes sense now....lol Onto the other note I agree with all of you, stores don't care about their customers anymore or their employees, it is all about the mighty dollar and forget about other people.

Hah! Nettie I was thinking the same til I saw the "There was someone in one of them" and I figured it out. But my brain had already gone "Those poor kitties! Did anyone try to save them?? LMAO.

i agree that the world is all about profits over humanity now.

It's a sad commentary on the values our present society has--Money/profit above all else. The lawyers are in with all this too. Profitable cuts from multi-million dollar lawsuits. It's no wonder mortar & brick stores are going out of business from on line shopping sites, much safer to shop from home--what could happen? Maybe drop laptop or other device while reaching for food and drink most stores don't allow?

My autocorrect has a unique sense of humor...same people that own these dangerous sites are developing software?
