Poe
I began this project about a week ago and it's looking better all the time. This is a large piece, roughly 30" x 30" so there is lots of fabric all around my loom (looks like a pvc pipe). The loom I have is about 17" x 11". Stitchers, what do you do with so much fabric overlapping? I have "rolled up" each side using the clamps to hold it down. Any suggestions? Is there a larger loom available other than the ones used for quilting?

There are oversized scroll frames...I have a 36" set from ADP . 😊

ECS has the scroll frames and stands you may want to look at.
I like using the scroll frames for my larger pieces, you can find them in lengths to 38". Been using the lap stands to hold the scrolls frames from K's Creations since the early 90's until I moved over to their stitching station floor stand a few years back. Love them!! The floor stand will accommodate the scroll frames from 10" to 38". I believe it also accommodates the Q frames as well.

Like VCESS, I have long scroll bars. I have this on my wish list as DD use to love Poe....waiting to see if it's something she'd still want. Would love to see your progress if you could send a pic. Liz

It is a very beautiful piece and I hope you are enjoying stitching it. I am a hoop person myself so do a lot of clamping and rolling with bigger fabrics. I have tried scroll frames but I can't stand the weight and for some reason they bug me, maybe because I learned on a hoop...lol I really like the piece but I am a big pansy when it comes to stuff that looks scary, I have nightmares easily, can't even think about going into a haunted house. DH ended up with a black eye one time when I socked him while he tried waking me up from one. I told him it was his own fault for wanting to watch The Ring, I haven't watched one since. I barely made it through The Nightmare Before Christmas, its animated and I thought no problem, I was wrong...lol but living with animal heads hanging on the walls don't bother me, maybe because they don't move, at least I don't think they do...lol 🦌👀

I bought this design last year, but haven't started it yet. Can't wait to see how yours turns out.

Oh, wow! I love it! I've never seen that pattern before. What size fabric are you using? I use a floor stand and scroll frames for bigger patterns. Just make sure the rods are longer than your fabric is wide, and roll the fabric up on the top and bottom rods to keep even tension. Voila! No overlapping fabric!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REPLYING SO QUICKLY TO MY QUESTION. I use a recliner chair when I stitch (but not reclining backwards). I already have a 17" pair, so I will try to find a pair larger. I'm not sure if my set will be compatible with what I have . I'll try to send you a photo showing progress so far. Thanks again.
