Post supplies please
Since the pretty boo butterfly has been such a great hit and was one I had my eye on but I expect it may go onto backorder (unless ECS prints it like an Artecy chart but this is not something we currently know), I will give this one a go which was the second one I was considering. It is all Halloween and as long as it does not include spiders I'm good. My husband has an aversion to spiders including those in cross stitch, and I wouldn't want him to smack my completed framed work with a newspaper or worse to kill a stitched spider. I have often left stitched spiders out of other Halloween designs that I have done. My cat will watch and paw them (the real ones), but waits for me to kill them (she was never much of a barn cat).

Hello,

I got the supplies posted for you so you should see them all listed there now. And I am definitely with your husband on the spider thing, lol! ;)

I agree with your DH. I don't like spiders either, but sometimes I'm forced to dispose of them as my DH isn't at home when I find them. I didn't find any spiders on this particular cross stitch, just a witch, an owl, some cats, some black flying things (bats or maybe crows).

Good Luck in stitching this. I saw the supply list suggested using 28 count Jobelan fabric over two squares. I hope you have used this fabric before. I'm using it for the first time now while stitching "The Fishing Santa" by Stoney Creek. I find it more time consuming to stitch than 14 count over one. It's also a softer fabric than Aida.

Kristi thanks for posting supplies.

Diana thanks for your response and double looking at the design to check for hidden spiders. There is a lot of activity in this design and it is a close view but not super close. I am an aida stitcher. I do not feel my vision is keen enough to count threads on evenweaves. I will be changing and stitching this on aida since this design can be stitched over 2. I saw this stitched by someone else on a bright blue and it really popped, so it will be on blue or gray for me, most likely. I looked up your fishing santa and it's cute and colorful. I love unique designs. Like you, I am not a fan of having to kill spiders or any insects for that matter---that's the cat's job. Happy stitching.
