A ball stylus!

I have one for curving the tiny, tiny individual paper petals on miniature flowers (when I used to make miniatures, I haven't in several years)

Never fails - you seem to have all sorts of weird - but wonderful - gadgets. I can see how useful it would be for the rogue threads.

I use one of those for working with clay. Great for drawing designs like the veins in leaves.

I believe when I bought this or one similar it was called a stylist. I used it in ceramics, also used it for making small dots on tole painting projects.
