Susan bates hoop
Does this hoop have a groove inside the ring that locks the outer ring?

Hi there

This hoop has to be unhook from the skrew that is there but not to the end. For this hoop there is 2 of them one inside of the other. Then lay your cross stitch on the indise one then add the other on top of it. then tie the skrew and Voila everything fit each other. That is the story of how to use it. If you still having trouble just go on youtube.com and write to watch how to use it. It is really easy. Have fun.

Hi Lilzees mom. I get what you're asking - I have had those lock together hoops before. No, this one is slightly different and I actually prefer these and have them in several sizes. The inside hoop on this one has a ridge that overlaps slightly on the outside hoop top after you secure your fabric. It works much like the ones that have the groove and slot, but I find that these warp your fabric much less than those and are much easier to adjust.

Hoops have changed for the better, but there is also a "hoop tape" that, if you're smarter than the tape, actually works well! Sometimes I'm smarter, sometimes you don't want to know. šŸ˜Š
