i don't have this exact lamp, but have 1 similar. I find I have some issues with the clip in that the arm isn't long enough to postion where I would like it (I could just be picky though!). The clip is strong enough to hold my regular sized pattern board. Hopefully someone has this lamp and can give you more info!
