Perforated paper is a stiff, thick cardboard-like paper product with a coating and with a pattern of holes (for your stitches). Mill Hill uses perforated paper in its kits and I have stitched several of them - they are simple and convenient to use - no need for a hoop since the paper stays in a straight square while you stitch and attach beads. Happy Stitching, glgcarver!

It comes as a 9" x 12" sheet in packs if you buy it separate. It's 14-count per inch... I've heard of 18-count but haven't seen it. The Mill Hill kits come with everything you will need, except for scissors and frame. They are not for beginners, but are good.
