Fabric
Since this peace is so big I am guessing a piece that is 30x36 will work. Is there a big enough piece of easy count fabric that I can use for this?

That is a beautiful pattern. I am not quite sure what you mean by easy count. If you look under ECS fabric section, it tells you what size they can cut from. Good luck. Pam

Pam, I believe Easy Count is pre-gridded.

Hey, Marz. I didn't know that's what easy count meant. I have been wanting to use some pregridded fabric-didn't even know it existed. Thanks. Pam

I bought a 39" x 42" of 14 count gridded fabric on Etsy as I did not see it available on ECS. About to start my first large cover all - Sweet Dreams by Mystic Stitch and as I have not gridded before thought it would be easier this way.

I am going shopping for the floss and fabric today. If I get a piece of 30x36 how far down do I need to measure in order to start at the upper left hand corner?

If my math is correct (assuming the 30x36 fabric is 14ct), you would need to measure 7.3" over, and 7.15" down for your work to be EXACTLY centred on your fabric and start in the top left corner. This is my favourite part of stitching – figuring out the logistics! LOL

I hope you enjoy your beautiful new project. I have done several this size and always use regular fabric. I make a copy of my pattern, and ink out my stitches as I do them. I find this an easy way to keep track.

In 2013 I found a pattern I just had to do. From the art of Bonnie White (see Chr Card in my photo). Finished size: 40 x 31.

ALERT TO LEFT HANDERS. Start your stitching in the upper right corner, not upper left.
