Adia Count
What the difference in the "count." Is 14 count Aida larger or smaller than 20 count. I always get this confused. Thanks!

14 Aida count is larger. The larger the count number the smaller the stitches.

May help to think about it as 'how many stitches in an inch'. If you get 20 stitches in an inch vs. 14 stitches in an inch...that would mean the 20 stitches are each smaller when compared to the 14 stitches.

14 count is what I use all the time its not to big and not to small. just remember the smaller the number count gets the bigger it will be. and the higher the number count the smaller it gets, and this is where you will need a magnifying glass to see it, and a good light. usually when you work on a pattern that has a high number its for really hard and intricate work where there is a lot of half stitches and quarter stitches etc. good luck anyway
