DMC thread
Does anyone know the DMC equivalent for this kit? I am short of thread thanks to a curious kitty.

I'm not familiar with this kit, Jennie, but there is a DMC logo on the front of the package which means the floss included in the kit is DMC. Did they not include the floss numbers used?

I checked and they use DMC floss with their kits. Usually they list the DMC numbers used somewhere in the pattern. Hope this helps a little.

I have done this kit, lots of fun. I have a list of the dmc numbers for each symbol (the numbers were not with the kit) and the leftover threads from the kit. I can either tell you the dmc numbers or mail the leftover threads to you, which might be a better match.

The numbers would be great, I have matched a few to my stockpile of thread but not all.

OK, all the symbols along the top of the chart have a corresponding number 1 through 15: 1 is DMC 310; 2 is 347; 3 is 666; 4 is 351; 5 is 3706; 6 is 3824; 7 is 819; 8 is white; 9 is 3011; 10 is 471; 11 is 368; 12 is 3045; 13 is 3046; 14 is 834; and 15 is 162. The same numbers 4, 9, 10 and 11 use the same corresponding DMC numbers for the one-strand backstitches. Good luck, happy stitching, and (as I well know) good luck finding a good distraction for your kitty!
And, for those interested, the kit did not include the DMC numbers even though it does cite DMC on the kit cover. Odd, but I had matched them before I stitched in case I ran out.
