You can stitch on whatever count you want. There are no "cross stitch police here. Just be aware the finished size may change, which means fabric and floss requirements may change.

Using the calculator to the side of the product (I love that feature!), it says for 14 count Aida, you need a piece 27" X 32". The finished size of the project will be 22.5" X 27.9". I think it would look beautiful on whatever fabric you use!

Denise is correct on the finished size for 14 count but don't forget to add 6 inches on each dimension size for framing. You would need a piece of 14 count Aida 28.5 inches by 34 inches for your project.

I took the easy way out. Since I am a "puzzle junkie" I bought all of the Tapestry Cats in 1000 piece puzzles and have them framed and hanging on my wall. They are really pretty.

They are lovely...on whatever count you choose. 😊

If you choose 14 ct think about experimenting with 3 strands of floss. I have found that 2 strands doesn't always give good coverage on a cover all project😃
