Part of your question involves a few other questions!
1. Where do you live. ECS, this site, sends from Dayton, Ohio, the state capitol.
123stitch.com sends from Utah.
Stoney Creek sends from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
I would pick which location is close to you. These are three respectable sites used frequently.
2. This is NOT a project that will use only a few hours of your time. Afghan stitchers, regardless of the patterns, can the
you a more reliable estimate of time. I have never stitched an afghan, in over 60 years of stitching.
3. How fast do you stitch? Some can do 100 stitches/day, some 200, some 25 to 30.
4. I get the feeling that time is short. Why not do a small birth record (no bigger than 5"x7"), but add a card that you can
write on to tell them a big gift is coming! My baby gifts depend heavily on when baby is expected, after all. My kids were
in high school before theirs were completed.

Most orders will go out the next business day as we try to keep a lot of things in stock for our customers. However, there are items that we do need to order from our distributor and those items can take a day or two to come in and because of that some orders will take 2-3 business *days* to go out once they are placed. The method of shipment chosen at the time of checkout for the order, will determine how quickly your package gets to you.
