Lap frame
I have never been on chit chat before. I am hoping someone can help me with an answer I have with a lap pad frame. If anyone has one, could you give me some help with what would be the best to buy for all cross-stitch projects. Thanks for anyone's help.

Welcome to the chat! There are several regulars who like stands of different sorts...I like American Dream scroll frames (Velcro system), but I don't care for lap stands. 😄

Welcome to the ECS ‘chat board’ Carolyn! 😊
I don’t use a lap frame but there are enough experienced stitchers on this ‘chat’ that will probably have some helpful information. So stick around and I’m sure that stitchers with experience using a lap pad frame will be able to help you.

Sorry, can't help you. I use lap-stand hoops but not anything heavier than that. I like the way they can be easily picked up and flipped over for my (MANY) errors/corrections and to start and stop each time a new thread color is needed.

I have a no-hands stand with many adjustments on my birthday wish list. The stand holds whatever needlework item you are working on enabling both hands to be free and the best part for me is it is supposed to "flip" to the backside very easily. I hope all of the great reviews are correct AND that one day I do get it for a special present because my hands are getting very painful and swell holding hoops, frames etc in my hands (and from gripping/flipping the lap hoop stands).

Happy Stitching
