No clue...but I searched the chat for "old" and get posts as far back as 2013. Could be even older dates (or archived) out there.

I think I started coming here and posting late 2013 or during 2014, I can't remember exactly, so it would be some time before that, but I thought the chat board started late August or September, 2013.

I asked my first question in Feb '14, I think. It seemed to be well established and lots of off-site pictures of finishes. One poor salesperson was being skinned alive by strips...they were a lively, great, opinionated, talented, helpful, bunch. Syagel, SuPitt, MissCrossstitch, TexasStitcher, Murrilome, Ibcatlover...were the first I remember...I know there are more that date from before then but it's been a long day in a long, hot week. I apologize profusely! 😊

Yes, Vcess I remember many of these people you mentioned posting too (you remembered some I couldn't remember and this seems like ages ago). Also, Dbye, valsilva (who I still write by email, but I do not think has been here in a very long time), and I think jclifford, jlhewes, miss kitty and nancye, and who was it Vcess that stitched the same Thea Governeur floral 3X for all of her children - this is an accomplishment you don't easily forget, and I think she still posts here occasionally but can't remember her posting name on the board, but it may come to me eventually.

I, too, remember those gorgeous works! Was she the lady who won all those ribbons and posted the tips about judging, and being judged? She won half a dozen 1sts every year with perfectly detailed, beautiful entries...

A few more are coming out of my rusty memory, but I don't know when many of these people started coming here but know they were back a few years: xstitcher522, quilterangel, momcat, and what about lpnbarnes- I haven't seen her post in a while, but I think she comes and goes like I do. I do remember the ribbons in front of photos of cross stitch projects but can't remember who had posted those photos. Having come here for so long, Vcess, think of all the posts we have looked at during this period of time and it makes sense that it is hard to remember that far back and so many chat posts.

I brought up about Mary Lee the Great White shark in a chat with Jersey, since Mary Lee seemed to hang around New Jersey shores in her journey up and down the Eastern seaboard. Jersey began giving the chat reports on ML’s movements through the Ocearch website. I think I spoke to Syagel first on this site.....
