TIP OF THE DAY
Mary’s just thought up lime-remover-from-faucet-ends.......
First you take a thin strip of cotton batten and soak it in lime remover or vinegar.
Wrap this around your faucet and keep it in place by inserting it in a finger of a latex rubber glove.....I use them also for household jobs and putting tanning cream on my legs. Leave overnight and you should be left with a sparkling, like new faucet!

Mary,
You are quite the savvy one. My husband and I are self employed...he’s a plumbing contractor...if you lived anywhere near us I can tell you wouldn’t be one of the customers who calls for basic things. Good advice.

That made me laugh Jean.
The job is done and I’m 100% satisfied.

That's a great idea! We have hard water so I'm always fighting that stuff!

Nice tip. For the shower head, I put enough vinegar in a baggie, so the shower head water holes are covered, when you put the shower head inside the baggie. You can then use a rubber band to hold the baggie on. Let the shower head soak over night.

I can unscrew my shower head, but this faucet has been bugging me for a long time. I keep going into the bathroom to admire my work.

I use vinegar to clean my faucets on a regular basis! Nothing more aggravating than getting into the shower and having the water go in every direction but down. (That’s generally when I remember to do it) I use it to clean the coffee pot too, only problem is the house smells like a salad for a bit afterwards.

Good idea Mary! I took the summer off from cleaning--you clean and the next week it looks the same as if you did nothing!! Son is coming in Sept so will get back to work--unless he stays at camp.

House smelling like a salad.....that’s true, but couldn’t you put a spin on it and say that you’ve been pickling? 🤪

You lost me at the rubber glove finger insertion... but I'm really glad it worked! :D

I use viniger, water mixture for most of my cleaning, baking soda, water for the areas vinegar just doesn't cut it. The latex finger cover we call a finger condom at my job it just inserts(yes double entendre) some humor into a loveless job...lol😀 I hope that comment doesn't get me booted from the chat.
