Size of pattren
I am 58 years old and my sight is not very good so I need my kit to have the cloth that I work on to be big enough to see. I can't remember if 14 count is the biggest or 21 count. Could you please let me know which is the biggest and put it on the pattern so I don't get something to small.

Hello,

14ct. is smaller than 21ct. The smaller the number, the bigger the hole on the fabric. This specific product is a stamped kit. So, the design of the horses is already stamped on the fabric that comes with the kit. It's a printed ivory sailcloth fabric. I hope this information helps :) Thank you!

Kristi -- I always thought the #/inch referred to the number of stitches you would need to take per inch. 14 count means there are 14 stitches per ince, 21 count means there are 21 stitch per inch and doesn't that mean the stitches are smaller because there are more per inch??? Or did you just mis-speak and mean your answer the other way around???

Hello,

You are correct in saying there are 14 holes per inch/square on the fabric. But the smaller the number of the fabric, the larger the holes are. I took her question as which count of the fabrics would be better for her sight wise. So I answered based on the hole size of the fabric. For example, in a 6 count fabric the holes will be much larger than a 14 count fabric, so a 6 count is sometimes easier for people to use just because the holes are bigger. The same goes for a 14 count versus a 21 count, the holes in the 14 count fabric will be larger between those two options. Maybe I didn't type it that way in my first response but when it comes to the count of the fabric: The smaller the number, the larger the hole will be on the fabric. Hope this is a better explanation and sorry for any confusion on my first response. Thank you :)
