Hi sharondavizcaino,

This is our design. It is counted cross stitch, not stamped cross stitch, so you stitch the whole design onto blank fabric. It uses whole cross stitches only.

Underneath the pattern you will find a supplies list so you can purchase the pattern, fabric and cottons you need at the same time.

Please let me know if you have any further queries.

Thanks and Best Wishes

Sharon -- this is a beautiful piece. Artecy makes great patterns -- the graphs and symbols are very clear. However, in my opinion, this is not a project for a first time stitcher. It is quite large ad has a lot of colors because of all the shading involved. I highly recommend that you pick a piece that is smaller and with fewer colors for your first project.

Sharon - I agree with Nancye. I have been a counted cross stitcher for over 20 some years and am just about finished with my first BIG project and it has been quite a challenge for me. Has to have over seven hundred gazillion thread changes. Artecy patterns are easy to follow but when you get into the middle and don't have any of the outside markers to follow it can be a bit dicey. This is a beautiful pattern and I would like to see you start/finish it so you could show it to us. Just give it a lot of thought before you invest a lot of money into the pattern/supplies and then realize you don't want to do it. Keep us posted as to what you decide. There are a lot of great stitchers here who will have your back if you decide to go forward on it.

Thank you for the heads up Nancye and yes I will order a much smaller piece to do for my first time just to dip my toe in the water so to speak lol and see if its something I would be interested in.

I'm so glad that you all welcome new comers and that you will have my back when it comes to trying a new hobby, and yes I will probably have questions when I start out with the cross stitching something I've wanted to do but have always loved to do embroidery on baby bibs, blankets, and pillow cases and giving them away, it warms my heart to see the faces of new moms when I hand them a bib or blanket for their newborn and to know I gave something from my heart and I enjoy watching their faces light up and they usually tell me that they have never received a handmade gift before only store bought ones, the reason I do this is because I love giving back to others and I chose expected moms because they go through so many stressful situations and if I can ease their pain even for a moment its so worth it. I just want to say thank you Cheryl for having my back as a newcomer and God bless everyone of you for giving your heart to help someone else.
