You can download one of their free charts to see what they are like: http://heavenandearthdesigns.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=19
I have several, but have not finished enough WIPs to be able to try one. The seem to have many many pages. :D

Its just cross stitch...one cross stitch at a time...literally. LOL just lots more of it! 😊

Jeri - I want to point out that the TITLE of this piece is Heaven on Earth and the manufacture/designer is Mystic Stitch not Heaven and Earth Designs. Just in case you look at Heaven and Earth's web-site and then order this chart and don't get quite what you were expecting. Both designers have some wonderful pieces and, from what I remember, are similar in charting their pieces. I think this piece would be beautiful stitched. Maybe something for me to consider in retirement but I think I need about four retirements to do everything I have already collected for that time of my life! Good Luck.

MY OPINION
This is a very large project with a lot of color changes. It is not hard if you are patient, be wiling to stitch one or two stitches and then switch to another color frequently. Suggest that you should stitch one 10 x 10 stich square at a time.
Don't get overwhelmed with the number of pages; look at the number of stitches (400 x 299 = 119,600) that is a lot of stitching. Don't forget to add six inches of fabric in each direction so that you have enough room for framing. It would horrible if you ran out of fabric before you ran out of pattern.

If you are new to cross stitch do not attempt this. Try something a lot smaller and with a lot fewer colors.

After stitching for 30 years, there is now way I would consider this pattern. It would probably take me another 30 years to complete it.

Truthfully, I never met a pattern I did not like. I saw this pattern 310 black on white angel. Beautiful. Just retired, ready to do more projects, etc. I heard (this web page which has immensely talented, patient women and men) how beautiful the heaven and earth projects were and something about "pages". Hey, I was game. I had done patterns that had two pages. What's the big deal? I ordered it and what to my surprise=10 pages. After I picked myself off of the floor, the pattern is beautiful, full stitches, striking with the black on white. VCESS is right it is just stitch at a time. One of the stitchers earlier said to make a working copy using your pattern. The pages are numbered. Basically, I think that it is one stitch at a time just a whole lot of them. I think that is what VCESS said. If you choose to do it, we would love to see the end product.

DON'T COUNT THE NUMBER OF PAGES. Count the number of stitches. This particular pattern has almost 120,000 stitches!

The large projects like Heaven and Earth's artwork are beautiful when complete. They are not for the faint of heart however. 10 pages is low..I have two that are 65! There are lots of colour changes and confetti stitches (one stitch of one colour) that take practise. Some method of keeping your place is very helpful. Average time to finish one of the larger ones is 5-7 years.
But as mentioned above, they are just one stitch at a time!

I would love to walk down a pathway & sit on a bench in this location. Just sitting there inhaling all the scent of those Wisteria! Ahhhhhh

I would be more in the 10 to 15 year if not longer category as my attention span is very, very short...lol
