Kidding, but kudos and hats off to those of you who find beading enjoyable. To me it is just frustrating and causes me to emit strings of curse words. Currently am wondering how many of the little darlings I will find on the chair when I get up.

Beads and I don't seem to get along very well. I pick up one and drop 4, pick up one and drop 6. Also included in a hate fest is French knots! Pam

I love doing beads! I use an item that looks like an open thimble, & has a little round dot of velcro stuck to it. You just dip that finger, ( I usually wear it on my middle finger of my left hand) into the little tray with the beads, & it will pick them up between the velcro teeth. You can then pick the bead off the finger tip with the beading needle. I don't drop nearly as many beads since I found this little gadget. Sorry to say, that it's not available on ECS (that I could find). Maybe Kristi could look into getting some, hint hint.
I saw one on 123 Stitch, & you could probably find one at Hobby Lobby, Michael's, or JoAnns. It's call a bead nabber, put out by LoRan.

I use a Tacky B.O.B.. It's about the size of a CD case and on the inside both sides are sticky. Holds the beads really well. Yes, the odd one tries to jump ship but 99.99% of the time they stay and are easy to pick up with a beading needle. Except at night when you're tired and can't see the holes. LOL

I admire the stamina of "beaders" . I have bead Bob's and collapsing eye beading needles and special threaders for reg beading needles, but I would still rather do 400 Fr knots than any beading....maybe not 400, but a lot of them. Beading makes me whine and the cats hate that. 😊

I have never tried beads, but I do have some ornament kits waiting so I will try and remember these. I really like doing french knots. Odd one out.....again! lol

When I started doing embroidery work as a young girl many years ago, I became frustrated making French knots. Years later, it finally dawned on me how to make them. Now I don't mind doing them.

I cross stitched "Needle Fairy" by Jim Shore a couple of years ago. It has lots of beads on it, but I haven't put them on yet. I did buy a "Tacky Bob" and some beading needles. I need to set aside some time and space to work on beading now that I'm retired. I'm looking forward to trying it. I also need to cross stitch and bead the "Knitting Fairy" by Jim Shore.

I love the look of beading especially on paper. I just don't have the knack yet. I, too, do not like French knots but to me easier to do than beading because for some reason my hand actually starts to shake when trying to use beads. Pam
