I’ve put any ordering “on hold”
Until we get back home and assess what has happened.

That's common sense. I know it's weakened for the wind, but the water surge is still a BIG worry, right? Liz

Yes, it’s the rain; the ‘surge’ has come down also. National Hurricane website states Florence is still heading northwest at 10 mph and a category 2.

Praying for your safety. Hope the storm keeps weakening. It must have been hard to leave your stach behind. Pray that is stays safe

Thanks aboomstra. It is painful...my stash, my WIPS, all of it...BUT I’m keeping the faith that it will all work out. :)

How are you doing Bermuda?
Posted by: nita7 on 09/14/18
Fine so far, thanks Nita for asking. DH and I will be leaving our current hotel room to another hotel because they could only give us a 3-day booking where we are at. We have a room 9 miles west in another motel for another 3 days, then we’ll see if we are allowed to get back to Myrtle Beach, SC. Will take pictures on our way back if I can. It appears that DH and I -without asking for it - have these ‘adventures’ not of our making. I think there are times like this, we are two of the Marx Brothers.....😏😏

Bermuda, You are such a good strong funny woman to go through all of this. Be sure to check for bedbugs....wishing you a safe journey together.

LOL! Thanks maubennett! You must be psychic! That's the FIRST thing I checked for when I pulled the covers back and checked my body after waking up the first morning here.
DH and I were able to extend our days at the same motel today and keep the same room instead of having to move
To another room some miles down the road- so we are still in Columbia, SC.
Good news: Hurricane Florence downgraded to ‘tropical storm’ status; she is heading West, further inland but only at 3 miles per hour.
Bad News: 5 people ‘storm related” deaths: one elderly man died in his yard while taking his dog outside,from cardiac they think; one man died while starting his generator ( electrocution?); one elderly woman from a heart attack, called for help but rescuers couldn’t get through the debris to get to her in time; don’t know about the other 2 deaths.
Myrtle Beach is still in the line of fire.when it comes to flooding;
We are keeping our fingers crossed that every hour that goes by lessens the percentage of flooding. Every hour this storm moves inland is ‘killing’ her. My heart goes out to all the North Carolinians, especially in Wilmington and New Bern. I pray this ends for them soon!!!

Bermuda, join my prayers to yours. Have been watching CNN non stop. Been praying non stop. Almost 800,000 people without power. I knew it was going to be bad but it is worse. I am not worried about an order = I am worried about all the people and the people who have people there. God bless you and your DH. Pam
