I ordered a cross stitch chart but I have not received an acknowledgement email. Does this mean the order has not been processed?

If you received an order number at the end of the ordering process, then that means we have received your order :) If you didn't get an email confirmation that could mean either your email address was not entered in correctly during the time of the order or it went to your spam folder?! You can always email or call our Customer Service dept to verify your order though. We don't put any customer order information on our message boards due to privacy issues but you can contact Customer Service and they will be able to verify your order and email address.
