Updated...Road Block on New project - Flower a Day
I have finished gridding, winding bobbins and loading the Pako organizer. I am ready to begin The Flower A Day Stitch Along by Carol Manning Designs.

I am doing it on 25 ct Linen over 1. I have a feeling there will be some pin stitches in my future.

That’s going to be beautiful! I may be drooling a little.

If you can do pin stitches on 25 count I am in total AWE! It looks like you are all set and ready to go. Keep us updated with photos.

Hey, Marz, I just received The Flower A Day Stitch Along recently, too! I'm not quite ready to start it yet, though. I want to finish my current WIP first. I will also be doing it 1 over 1 on 25ct linen. But I haven't decided what color I'm going to stitch it on yet. I don't do gridding.
I also have Boo Butterfly lined up to stitch soon, but I think I may do this one first.

Well...I don't think I like Linen or maybe it's the 1 over 1 on linen. I'm having a hard time not squishing the X. There isn't anything to help the X hold its shape. I'm being very gentle with my tension, but it doesn't seem to help/matter. Also think I like evenweave better as some of the linen x's are big and some are little. 😐

And did you know that the 1 ply floss can be separated. Discover that while frogging.

Will have to ponder before continuing. Would rather start over sooner rather than later.

Linen is like that, I’ve had stitches vanish into the fabric, never to be seen again. I tend to just shrug, restitch it, and move on. I did know you can separate 1 ply floss...I’m quite good at it, I’ve had a lot of frogging experience.

Switch to evenweave, Marz. I think that will be easier to work with. I will do the same when I stitch it. I'm doing 1 over 1 on 25ct evenweave right now on my current WIP. I'm not having any problems at all with it.

I love all the colors. Also is that a holder for all your threaded needles ? I prepare all my needles for the colors I’m going to use before hand also but I have then stuck to my basket & number , I would love to have something like that, it’s been a year since I started cross stitch & haven’t really gotten as organized as the rest of you on this chat ....
