to ask them the cost for ‘booting’ (removing) the petioles on our backyard palm trees. The gentleman who I spoke with was not the owner, but an assistant who asked if I needed help ( do I ever! 🙄) and I asked if they ‘boot’ palm trees and explained how one of my palm trees tried to murder me with one of it’s hardened petioles.
The gentleman listened and suggested that ’booting’ a palm tree isn’t Really difficult to do and showed me that petioles are removed starting at the bottom of each individual petiole that is attached to the palm’s main trunk; like a man shaving his neck, drawing the razor upwards towards his face..
“Sounds like I can do that myself.” Says I.
He nodded and asked, “ Do you have a chainsaw?”
