I just started the main part, part one tonight. I am doing it on boring white, because I hate working on black. So far it looks good on the white.

That is so cute! Easily enough color to carry just about any background! I would do it on white, too! 😄
Have you tried the pearlescent? I have some for a Christmas project, but I seem to be stuck in Halloween...I'm stuck in 60s music, too. Can't help it...it was a different time...with better music! 😊. Today the voices are digitized to death till they all sound like Alvin, the Chipmunk...especially the new weather girl, but I think she just sounds that way...no digitizing. 😀

Jaba what type of fabric and stitching is in these pattern. I just ordered a few and don't want to get in over my head!

Cruisin, it is just cross stitch with a little back stitching on the balloon, on part one, the main section. I am doing it on 14count white aida, instead of the black. If I know me, I will probably backstitch most of it to make it pop a little more!!!

Have you seen the way they all look together, including a release date chart for the remaining ones? https://www.tinymodernist.com/products/2019-stitch-a-long-words-to-live-by

Thanks Le-Anne, I will have to check it out. My biggest concern is getting the placement of everything right, I've never tried one of these before. I just ordered part 6 last night.

Wow! The schedule is more than reasonable for a SAL...I may have to order just because I already have the border. If you look at the border it downloads. Really cute! Not too bad for price as these things go...$36 for large center and first 4 border charts...hmmm 😀

Really like the look of the ‘Tiny Modernist’ projects.....especially the patterns such as, “Pretty Little Paris,” “Pretty Los Angeles”, etc.

I've never worked on black fabric before but I've wanting to try it, this will be a good test...
