Good Tuesday morning everyone. Yesterday was super busy and spent a good deal of time on the phone catching up with an old friend on the phone and my oldest son. Today we are getting hay bales so I can practice my archery. It will all come back to me, but it's been 30 years since I held a bow. The weather is holding out so it's more outside and soaking in the warmth. Have a terrific Tuesday!

Good Monday morning everyone. New week, new beginnings, and new aspirations. We spent the weekend quietly, listening to music, or sitting outside. They used to use solariums to help people heal and the sunshine felt amazing. We don't take it for granted here because we will soon be 6-7 months or cold and snow. Today it's back to the archery shop and I am going to get a non-hunting bow and take up archery as an outdoor hobby. Later it's spaghetti night and stitching some more on "The Anniversary". Embrace the new week with enthusiasm and gratitude.

I took a break to make crockpot chicken noodle soup. I thought I had all the ingredients which I did but not enough of them. Since driving to the grocery store is not an option I punted. I used what I had on hand for veggies, broth and spices. The basic recipe is the same but I added fresh corn cut from the stalk, beef broth, chicken broth, frozen veggies and an array of spices. It will cook down then I will add the egg noodles in for the last 5 minutes. I will see what I get. DH asked me if I could recreate it if needed. Nope. I don't write things down I just wing it, if it sounds good I add it. I am learning why my mother cooked the way she did, if you don't have it substitute something.
