It doesn't show me how?

I need help! I have this pattern and want to stitch it. I have the floss...going with the purples. I selected "graceful grey" to stitch it on and eagerly started. Not a good choice!! ☹ The white does not stand out on the grey! Frogged it all! Should I choose another grey? If so, which one? Or just start again and hope the amount of white somehow comes to the forefront? Or go with something else completely? Thanks!! Mary

Good Thursday morning everyone. Another cool, gray day today and yesterday we didn't go anywhere. So, today will be a short trip to the meat market. It's been pretty routine around here lately and sometimes retirement can be a bit boring, but I'll take it. Have a good Thursday!
