any suggestions what fabric to use , lots of beautiful colors

Hello cool, rainy Wednesday morning everyone. It will be an inside day for sure. Have you ever spent a day when you did absolutely nothing? And I mean NOTHING. We watched movies yesterday and lolled around the cottage with the pups. It was rain, wind, and cold and no one felt like doing a thing. On a side note if you can, donate to your local food pantry as 43 million Americans are about to lose their SNAP benefits. Have a wild Wednesday.

I saw this lovely , yet simple pattern in a Christmas patterns book I've had for years. It's "Peace on Earth". However there was hand dyed floss that was required to use. I tried to match the colors with the DMC floss I have...Not working, so then I had an idea. I googled all the different hand dyed floss that was called for and got to the conversion charts for DMC...Hooray, success ! So I copied the numbers , and or names of the colors and ordered them from ECS Thank you ECS...I tried this pattern before, using colors that I had but I was not happy with the results. It's really important to use what is required if you want good results. I try not to be an annoying "perfectionist" but there are times I have to...just to please myself...(if that makes any sense)

Can you tell me if this is a counted cross stitch or a stamped picture.

Hey, Pam, I made this for lunch today and it’s delicious 😋😋😋 Maybe it was last week or the week before that you posted it. The recipe makes a lot. I put the rest in the freezer for another meal for us. I used mashed potatoes this time and will try wide egg noodles the next time.
