GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind FRIDAY
Good Friday morning everyone. This week just flew by in a blur. We are still waiting on Poppy's blood test results and I know it's going to be more trips to the vet. Still stitching about an hour a day and making progress on my arm and on "Lady Seated at her Needlework". I can already tell people are getting ready for Memorial Day because of fireworks. Have a fabulous Friday!

So many color changes Ugh!
Hi: I have been working on the pattern Abundance by Sandy Lynam Clough. I bought the pattern in the early 90's & its been on my bucket list since then. I started it a few months ago. The hardest part of this pattern is that there are so many color changes in one piece of fruit & all the colors are almost the same. I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion as to how to attack this pattern in respect to so many color changes. I have tried to take one color & do as much of that as I can, but I end up miscounting & have to remove the stitches. I am sooooo frustrated. Also in the picture there is a grey line between the pages. The pattern says "Grey area indicates last row of right section of design" I don't know if I am supposed to do the stitches shown in that grey area, or just move to the next page as it seem the following row has the exact stitch colors? Pictures below to show me dilemma . Sorry. I know the pattern is in really bad shape.

Download format
I have purchased the other three patterns in this series as downloadable files. Can you acquire this pattern as a downloadable file?

question -- very wide project
Hello everyone! I'm hoping to start a new project in a couple of months. It's an American flag and is a very wide design -- I'll be stitching it on 16-count fabric ((actually 32-count stitched over 2 threads)) and design itself will be just under 44" wide. Because I seem, despite significant effort, to be unable to properly center a design I prefer to have 3" borders rather than the commonly recommended 2" borders. So, my fabric will be cut about 50 inches wide ((and about 32" deep/high)).
I always use scroll rods, and have 48" wide scroll rods and a floor frame/stand that will accommodate that width.
Because the fabric will be wider than the scroll rod I anticipate having to fold a bit of the fabric over at one end of the rod. It will be bulky but with the total width, I am thinking that while I'm working at one end of the design the bulk won't be bothersome or a problem. Once I reach perhaps half-way across the design, I can re-attach the fabric to the rods so that the folded part is at the other end of the design.
Is this the best approach, or is there something else I should consider? I know that if I'm folding the fabric I can use slightly shorter scroll rods ((don't need full 48" width)) but I purchased the long rods so am likely to use them.
I'm looking forward to starting the project but am intimidated by its size! Been purchasing floss -- almost 400 skeins!! -- a bit at a time for a couple of years to spread out the cost.
Thanks for any thoughts, and encouragement!

GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind THURSDAY
Good Thursday morning everyone. Our Poppy slept through the night and when we took her temperature last night it was down to 101.8. She's still not 100% and we're waiting for results of her bloodwork. I still think it's her tooth and if the bloodwork shows nothing we want her mouth x-rayed to see if there's an abscess. Today it will be taking care of Poppy. I can't believe it's Memorial Day weekend already! Have a thankful Thursday!

New Format
Just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your new format for showing new or sale patterns, so much easier to view and make decisions whether they are do-able or not. My late seventies eyes really appreciate the change. Thanks so much.
