Angel of Lovea Cross Stitch Pattern by Lavender & Lace

I am working on this angel now but I have never used the kreinik #27 ribbon before. How do I use it?

I had never done this much beading but it was well worth it. I worked all of the regular cross stitches first then did the gold work and bead work. It took a while to work with the gold thread because you have to use only 16" at time otherwise the gold thread starts to fray. It also took a very long time to do the bead work but as each section was completed (I only worked a 10 stitch x 10 stitch section at a time) I crossed it off my pattern to be sure I had completed the whole section. You might want to consider enlarging the pattern when doing the beading work so you can see all of the detals. This is absolutely beautiful and would be a lovely project to work on during the long cold winter months instead of during the summer when I did my work.

This is one of the more challenging L&L designs. One tip is to stitch everything BEFORE adding beads. I made the mistake of not doing that. The finished result is BEAUTIFUL. There are many, many beads though, so if you don't like working with beads, this isn't the project for you. Shannon :)
