Antique Red Roostera Cross Stitch Pattern by Happiness is Heartmade

Adapted from a French 19th Century pillow cover that was stitched with red cotton thread on a cotton plain weave fabric. The original needlework has the French phrase, "QUAND CE COQ CHANTERA MON A MITIE FINIRA" on it. This pattern contains two options: the original French phrase or an alternate alphabet.

Counted cross stitch pattern. Stitch count: 203 x 183. Model stitched on 16ct White Aida using DMC floss. Chart is in black and white and uses only full cross stitches.
