Antonia Pueyo Sampler Petitea Cross Stitch Pattern by Jan Hicks Creates

Stitch Count: 103 x 95 14 ct (over 1) or 28 ct (over 2) - 7.4 x 6.8 in. 16 ct (over 1) or 32 ct (overt 2) - 6.4 x 5.9 in. 18 ct (over 1) or 36 ct (over 2) - 5.7 × 5.3 in. 40 ct (over 2) - 5.2 × 4.8 in. I reproduced Antonia Pueyo 1913 in 2022, and the big letters on that sampler have enjoyed star status on several of my other designs, especially on my Vintage Christmas Alphabet Ornament series. They are back again, along with other borders and re-imagined motifs, to create a smaller slice of Antonia Pueyo. My original intent for this sampler was a monochrome red silk on white fabric. But when I saw the Orphanage linen from Tabby Cat Linens and Design, I immediately knew I had to do a white on red sampler. I chose to use a very pale pink silk, actually, Classic Colorwork's Belle Soie in Pink Quartz. I have noted DMC 23 as its conversion, but you could also use a white cotton or silk thread, of course. I encourage you to make it your own, choosing your favorite color. This would also make a perfect Blessing Sampler! Please honor the hours of hard work and creativity that / put into my designs.
