Army Seala Cross Stitch Pattern by Cody Country CrossStitch

I purchased this project for a quilt in memory of my uncle who passed. I was joyous to find this specific pattern. However, when I got the pattern, it was so small to read and not the colors I expected. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

The difficulty of this project was that there were so many different colors to blend to make it so beautiful. I finally bought more needles and had a needle threaded for each different color. It made working on this project much easier. Another difficulty is that I had to follow the pattern row by row rather than sew one color at a time. All in all, I learned a lot doing it and would do another if I had another Army Veteran to honor.

The flag under the eagle should be red and white stripes. This pattern uses colors in the pink to violet shades with no red at all. I want it in reds. Has anyone made this using the pink and violet shades and, if so, does it look okay or do you think as I do? Not sure how to convert the colors myself. Otherwise, I’m okay with the rest of the colors in the pattern. On second thought...not so happy with other colors. No color on the chart for code “p” unless that is suppose to be “q” which is a straw color right in the middle of the flag. Would to hear from anyone who has worked this pattern to the end.

I ordered this Army Seal to cross stitch for my husband. We both love the design. I’d like to make a suggestion on the pattern layout. First of all, the pattern is so tiny the symbols are impossible to read so I had to enlarge it on my printer. Many companies now offer a larger print version of their patterns for those of us that do not have microscopic vision. From now on I will not purchase any pattern that does not offer a larger print option.
