"A wet sheet and a flowing sea, a wind that follows fast, and fills the white and rustling sail, and bends the gallant mast." Stitched on 28 count Vintage Maritime White Linen with DMC (White, 433, 434, 3051, 3052) Crescent Colours (Blackbird, Green Onion, Onion Skin), and Weeks Dye Works (Dolphin, Gunmetal). The stitch count is 129W x 97H.
Really like this pattern for it’s theme. Pattern uses only 3 Crescent and 2 Weeks dyed flosses, the rest of the pattern is DMC so it won’t break the bank purchasing the over-dyed flosses if you are on a ‘fixed’ income or a tight budget.
My WIP picture below is being done on 28-count ‘off-white’ even-weave fabric -The background area of the ship is only halfway completed with a dyed floss. Be ready to do counting since the pattern has verse to it. A nice challenge for a stitcher who is wanting to learn to stitch on a higher count fabric.
