For 12 years I've lived in the same 12-unit apartment building. For about the last 6, I've been trying to make the building more of a community. People move in and out so fast, but I try to welcome each one with fresh apple juice and offer free refills. In 6 years, nothing. Until yesterday... I came home to a bag on my doorknob with a jar inside! The neighbor's 10-12 yo son drew an apple and colored it in. So realistic! She wrote a thank you note on the back! This jar with its apple is going on my bookshelf. =^..^=

Heads up to everyone! This seem to be a scam of some kind. I emailed her. She wants someone to take everything and send her the postage upfront. In the course of our emails, about a 30 minute period she went from pics of all she had to it all boxed in one large box ready to be mailed. When I refused to send postage upfront she stopped emailing with me. Also as I reread her emails the grammar was off with lots of misspelled words. BEWARE!

Well it is still really hot and humid here feel like a cooking turkey in a oven. Thank you all for the positive thoughts and prayers. Feeling a bit better but no stitching for over a week now just to sticky from the humidity. Hope all is going well for everyone. Take care and stay safe!

Is in our forecast for the rest of the week. The main concern is flooding, especially near creeks and low water crossings. The city has a list of places to avoid. Fingers crossed people will heed the road blocks. 🤞 🙏
