GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind SUNDAY
Good Sunday morning everyone. A 15 to 20 below zero cold snap on the way and I'm grateful to be inside happily stitching away. Yesterday I was doing Bryan's family tree on his mother's side and got a DNA match with his Bryan's grandfather on this side of the family. What a surprise and we laughed about it all day. Bryan's DNA hasn't processed yet, so it was definitely mine. Also found out his great-grandfather is my 1st cousin 3x removed and his great-great-great grandfather is my 3rd uncle. Now people have mistaken us for brother and sister lots of times and we laughed about it, but now, well, it appears we are 2nd cousins 1 generation removed. Anyone else do Ancestry and get a strange surprise? Have a good Sunday!

GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind SATURDAY
Good Saturday morning everyone. Is January over yet? No luck in obtaining the Cross Stitcher Magazine March 2026 issue, but today I'll call Michael's, Barnes and Noble, and our library to see if they have that issue. I haven't given up. I wish Jo Ann's was still in business because they carried that magazine. Not much going on around here, but it's very quiet because of the snow, which is one of the reasons I do like winter. Enjoy your weekend and stay warm if you're in the Northern climes!

Cross Stitcher Magazine March 2026 Issue
Hello everyone. I absolutely want the seed packet sampler pattern in this issue, but am unable to find this magazine in our stores. Does anyone subscribe to this magazine that would be willing to share this pattern with me? Thank you for any help!

projects
I love to knit and crochet during the Fall and winter months...(planning for next Christmas gifts ) But now I am itching to start my cross stitching early. I MUST finish one I started earlier in November and I just ordered another from ECS......I MUST discipline myself and learn to finish what I started first...but OH ...I love that new one coming. Can't wait !!!!!

Do you iron?
Does anyone else still iron other than to press a finished cross stitch piece? That was my chore for this am. I only do our church clothes and pillow cases, placemats, and table cloths when necessary. Oh, and a doile or 2 once in a while. I quit ironing sheets after we moved back to Ohio 5 years ago. Ironing is a chore I hate🤬 even more than dusting, but it was ingrained into me that there are certain things you just have to iron. My mother was an ironing expert and she lined us 3 older girls up at ages 8,9, 10 one summer and taught us how to iron. Worst summer ever!!😭 Anyone else have horror stories about ironing or something else?
