Good finally Friday morning everyone. The nice weather streak continues and enjoying every minute of it by spending a lot of time outside. The dogs are in heaven as they romp and frolic in the yard. Today is stitching, but housework first and later thinking of making some boneless pork chops and cabbage noodles. Anyone have a good homemade applesauce recipe? Have a fabulous Friday!

Good Thursday morning everyone. The streak of nice weather still continues and I'm getting a lot accomplished. Today I will plant the rest of the Queen of the Night tulip bulbs. The herbs are dried and in their bottles. I can't believe the first day of fall is Sunday. It's another stitching outside day while Bryan continues to work on the cars. Have a happy Thursday.

Here's a good and easy homemade applesauce recipe. It freezes beautifully!

10-12 apples (I like honeycrisp, and Harrelsons are fabulous if you can find them)
1/2 to 1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar (adjust according to how sweet you like things)

Peel, core, and cut apples; put in slow cooker/crockpot. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Cover and cook on low 5 hours, stirring at about 3 hours to break up the apple pieces. Can serve warm or cool.

We like this as a side to pork dishes, on oatmeal, as a snack. If freezing, make sure the sauce is cooled completely. Enjoy!!
