Would everyone PLEASE look at DMC floss color # 928 and describe the color!!! It looks like some sort of green or blue to me!....... I hate these 🤬 cataracts!!!!

As I was surfing the Internet and then went through the projects offered by ‘The Stitchery’ I was looking at their kit prices and they seemed kind of high. Which begs the question, where do you ‘draw the line’ price wise, when it comes to buying a ‘kit’ JUST to get your hands on the pattern?

Just wanted to let you know about ECS shipping in case you were wondering and haven't ordered from them. I live about 150 miles north of Dayton where they ship from. Last week I ordered 2 patterns from them and they were in my mailbox in 2 days. I have always had very fast service from them. The customer service here is also very good. I found this, and the pattern...wonder why I didn’t finish it, and why I was making it?

I'm researching framing my own work. I definitely want to go with traditional wood frames, not hoop frames. Is there a site for needlework framing supplies? I keep finding ones that are geared towards picture framing. I found some beautiful wood frames that are just the right size at the thrift store. I never use glass. I need help figuring out what other tools and supplies I would need. Does anyone know of a blog or YouTube video that could help me get started? There are so many sites with different opinions, and I don't know which is the "right" way, not necessarily the fast and easy way. All I can say with certainty is that a staple gun is not the way to go. Does anyone frame their work and have tips on what to do and on what can go wrong? All help is appreciated!

Do you stitch slow or quickly? I am on the slow side and at times it is so frustrating. I feel I sit and stitch for hours and don't see much progress. Is there an amount of stitches that is customary to complete per minute or hour??

I am so happy how this project turned out! It looks great over the washer and dryer. Now I have to remind myself that I can not just stand in front of the machines and look at it all day! Lol
