Christiana Turner, 1855, a Yorkshire reproduction samplera Cross Stitch Pattern by Crowsfeetstitching

A reproduction sampler pattern in pdf form for instant download, reproduced by me. The sampler measures 232 stitches wide and 316 stitches high. The sampler is stitched in full cross stitch, with a small amount of backstitch for outlining the gentlemen’s eyes. It is suitable for aida and linen. The sampler is charted for DMC and overdyed floss. The colours are taken from the front of the sampler. As the sampler is slightly faded, I have chosen the threads to match where the colour is strongest. Christiana was born in 1837 in Walkington, near Beverley, East Yorkshire. She stitched her sampler (left) quite late into her teens, in fact only a year before she was married.
