Martha Hope, a 19th century rose samplera Cross Stitch Pattern by Crowsfeetstitching

Martha was 9 and stitched a lovely sampler with a big rose, and a mix of motifs including birds, hearts, flowers and trees - although much of the colour of the original sampler has faded the colours are visible in places. The sampler measures 93 stitches wide by 214 stitches high. Apart from a tiny bird (stitched in quarter stitch or one-over-one and could be easily omitted), the sampler is stitched completely in full cross stitch so would be suitable for aida or linen. The sampler is charted using DMC. The model is stitched on 35 count Edinburgh linen by Zweigart.
