I have this pattern but would like to find a conversion from Valdani threads to maybe Weeks dye works or Classic Colors floss. I am not near any Needlework shop. Can some one help me?

Finishing Quakers & Quilt
Help! I am working on the big quilt sections (section 6) and I am not sure how to do the outline of the blocks and squares in the border.
1. Are they backstitched (in one thread) in the same color ( H212) round the
whole big block square?
2. Are all the stitches in the small squares in the border done with the same
thread (O 503) or is the outline of the small squares done with H 212?
