It takes time to do these beautiful pictures
Like I said it takes time to do these pictures. If you are retired like I am, you have more time than a working person. I find it very relaxing while I am working one one. I like to do the scenery pictures, rather than a person portrait. I will be starting the chickadee picture this fall.
On another note, I am noticing that the craft stores are not supplying very many kits in the 5x7 size. They have a lot of round patterns, I don't care for. I have about 10 pictures throughout my home.

printed versus counted cross stitch
How can I tell if a kit is for a printed versus counted cross stitch. I am looking to give this as a gift to a friend and although I am comfortable with a counted cross stitch kit, they are a beginner and would be more comfortable if the design was pre-printed on the fabric. Please advise. Thank you.
