Season of Lovea Cross Stitch Pattern by Imaginating

I am so disappointed in this purchase. First, the chart was copied very poorly and it is hard to read each symbol. Second, the chart has as many as two or three symbols in some boxes in different parts of the square where you are to make petite stitches. Very difficult to stitch especially because this occurs in the middle of the chart where you typically start. Third, the cloth is not evenly woven so it is difficult to know if you are stitching over one or two threads.

Kristi or ECS colleagues and chatters -- I've ordered Imaginating's 'Seasons of Love' pattern, I love its quiet scenery and gentle sentiment. The design calls for 32-ct Blue Spruce linen, but I prefer to stitch on Lugana or Jobelan (either 28 ct or 32 ct). Is the "Denim Blue" Jobelan a somewhat close color match to Blue Spruce linen? I know of course that it won't be an exact match but I'm wondering if it would be a compatible substitute. Neither Blue Spruce nor Denim Blue are a navy blue but both appear to be somewhere between a medium and a dark blue. I saw a hand-dyed Midnight Blue Lugana or Jobelan from Picture this Plus on another site, but thought this particular pattern might not stand out as well on a hand-dyed or marbled fabric. Thanks for any input or other fabric suggestions, it's much appreciated!
